Small Groups
- LINK
- Members and friends are divided into groups by geogrphic location around the greater Lansing area. Each group has a small leadership team which plans meetings and activities for their respective LINK group.
- Bible Study

Women of First meet on the first Sunday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Sallie Campbell is the study leader.

Tuesday Evening Small Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings in the homes of members and friends. Visitors are cordially invited.
- Chancel Choir

The Chancel choir practices every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. for Sunday worship under the direction of Zeb Highben.
- Bell of First

The Bell Choir practices Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Shelia Conrad.
- Women of First
- The purposes of this group are caring, prayer, Bible study and fellowship. Programs of interest and spiritual growth for all women of the church, day and evening programs.
- Book Discussion Group
- This group meets monthly for a lively discussion and good fellowship. The book selections range from current best sellers to the classics, and includes works of both fiction and non-fiction. The group plans its readings at least one month in advance.
- Movie Discussion Group
- Looks at the themes of religion, morality and social concerns found in new and older films. Participants watch the movie on their own and then join the group for a meal and discussion.
- DayTrippers
- This popular group travels for day trips to a wide variety of destinations such as Frankenmuth or Shipshewana.
- TLCs
- Our widows and older single women go out to lunch together each month.
- History Committee
- Gathers and catalogs First Church memorabilia in the History Room with the guidance of a professional archivist.
- Gardeners
- Dedicated to beautifying the church grounds with flowers and other plantings. Suggested for anyone who likes to plant seeds, pull weeds and have fun.
- PresbyPedalers
- An active group for those who like to ride bicycles, usually a ride of 10 or so miles.
- PeeWee and Junior Basketball
- Opportunities for kids, helpers and adult coaches to have excellent team experiences.
- Food Bank
- Volunteers help to bag groceries for distribution to those in need.
- ACTION of Greater Lansing
- An interchurch group that works toward improving lives in our community by advocating changes in public policy.
- Habitat for Humanity
- First Church, together with other churches, works with Habitat for Humanity to build “simple, decent, affordable houses” alongside the people in need.
- Salad Luncheon
- This community event occurs at First Church each October and May.
